<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel drive system for a vehicle capable of effectively improving efficiency of a traction motor. <P>SOLUTION: The wheel drive system has a rotor shaft 25 and the traction motor 20 having a stator 21 and a rotor 22 provided in a case 3 attached to a vehicle body. and a wheel 120 is driven by output torque of the rotor shaft. It has an oil cooler 63 cooling lubricating oil in the case 3, a hydraulic pump 50 supplying the lubricating oil to the stator, a hydraulic pump driving motor 51, a pump driving motor rotational frequency control means 107, a traction motor temperature detecting means 115, and a vehicle stop determining means 106. The pump driving motor rotational frequency control means controls a rotational frequency of a hydraulic pump driving motor in response to a temperature of the traction motor detected by the traction motor temperature detecting means at stopping of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
