<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerized toner which has uniform particle diameter and particle size distribution, ina stable manner, suppresses the variation in toner development properties, such as, unevenness of image and printing properties due to charge unevenness, takes on optimal charging characteristics in image formation, and can provide a proper cleanerless image forming method in which untransferred toner does not occur. <P>SOLUTION: A primary polymerizable monomer system, having a particle diameter of 10-100 μm and containing at least a colorant, a release agent and a positive charge control agent comprising an acrylic resin, having a quaternary ammonium salt-containing functional group, is injected into a high-pressure homogenizer which has a multistage decompression cell on the downstream side and gradually decompresses the primary polymerizable monomer system to suppress foam formation, wherein comminution by shear force, emulsification and dispersion are performed to prepare a secondary polymerizable monomer system having a particle diameter of 3-10 μm; and this secondary polymerizable monomer system is subjected to suspension polymerization, to obtain the objective suspension-polymerized toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
