<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision avoidance support device securing collision avoidance performance when avoiding contact with an obstacle, and materializing incongruity sense reduction to a driver and drivability improvement. <P>SOLUTION: A collision avoidance operation means 3 performs collision risk determination between the detected obstacle in a one's own vehicle travel direction and one's own vehicle based on information of the own vehicle detected by a one's own vehicle information detection means 1 and information of the obstacle detected by an obstacle information detection means 2, and calculates control information for obstacle avoidance output to a brake actuator 5 according to a collision risk determination result. The collision avoidance operation means 3 controls braking force generated in the own vehicle by the brake actuator 5 by use of a collision avoidance limit distance Δxctl2 determined based on a physical limit allowing the avoidance of collision with the obstacle, and an acceleration change rate limit avoidance distance Δxctl1 determined based on an acceleration change rate and acceleration generated in the own vehicle by avoidance movement of the obstacle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
