SOLUTION: A molding apparatus 20 which feeds a photo-curable resin 4 on a glass substrate 7 placed on a holding employ 8 and molds it by a mold 6 is equipped with a spot detecting optical system 14 for detecting the posture of the glass substrate 7, a posture adjusting mechanism 9 for adjusting the posture of the glass substrate 7, and a control operating part 30 for adjusting the posture of the glass substrate 7 on the holding employ 8 through the posture adjusting mechanism 9 so that the shift of the optical axis of the glass substrate 7 obtained from the spot detecting optical system 14 is corrected. By performing the molding of the photo-curable resin 4 in a state that the center of an optical face such as the front face 7a and the back face 7b of the glass substrate 7 coincides with the axis of the molding face 6a of the mold 6, the optical axes of the glass substrate 7 and the resin layer consisting of the photo-curable resin 4 coincide with each other to obtain a highly precise composite type optical element.
