PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone excellent in operability in using a short-distance radio communication function and in power saving performance. SOLUTION: This cellular phone is provided with: a short-distance radio transmission/reception means for transmitting/receiving predetermined data to/from an opposite device via short-distance radio communication in transmitting/receiving the predetermined data via the short-distance radio communication between the cellular phone consisting of at least a first casing and a second casing and the opposite device of the cellular phone; and a transmission/reception mode activating means for activating the radio transmission/reception mode when a predetermined operation key among a plurality of operation keys protruding the outside of the casing is operated in a state where the first and second casings substantially overlap on each other.
