PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor that prevents water immersion through a vent during submersion in water, and improves the durability with respect to water pressure. SOLUTION: The vent 22 which enables mutual ventilation outside and inside the motor body, is formed in a gear housing 11 attached to the motor body of the motor. A movable member 25, movable along an extending direction of the vent 22, is fitted internally in the vent 22. A communication hole 25a is formed in the movable member 25. In the vent 22, mutual ventilation outside and inside the motor body through the communication hole 25a is permitted. Moreover, the motor has a restraining plate 17. When the movable member 25 abuts against the restraining plate 17, the communication hole 25a is closed by the restraining plate 17. When the motor is submerged in water, the movable member 25 is pressed by the pressure of water flowing into the vent 22, to abut against the restraining plate 17, and the vent 22 is closed by the movable member 25.
