PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of solving the problem wherein a working error or chatter vibration during working is generated caused by a twist deformation of a work, capable of fixing and releasing a dividing angle at a light force in a short time, and capable of carrying out it automatically using a motion of a machine tool, as to a both-side support type work dividing block of holding both ends of the work by support blocks opposed attachedly to a table of the machine tool. SOLUTION: Couplings 8 for holding the dividing angle are provided in both of the driving side support block 2a and the driven side support block 2b, and a synchronous mechanism is provided to engage and disengage synchronously the two couplings. A spring 24b is interposed in the synchronous mechanism to engage and disengage one thereof with the other, with a slight time difference. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
