PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystallization reactor which can obtain treated water of favorable quality. SOLUTION: This crystallization reactor is designed for producing a crystal of a hardly soluble salt by adding a crystallization agent to untreated water containing a substance to be crystallized. In addition, this reactor includes a crystallization reaction tank for producing the crystal of the hardly soluble salt by adding the crystallization agent to the untreated water, a treatment means for treating a slurry-like chemical compound composed mainly of the hardly soluble salt with the help of an acid or an alkali, and a seed crystal addition means for adding a treated chemical compound obtained by acid or alkali treatment, to the crystallization reaction tank as a seed crystal.
