<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the user of a data processor from overlooking display related with the state of a device as much as possible in a system where a data processor such as a DTV is communicatively connected to a device such as a printer. <P>SOLUTION: A <PrinterStateDuration> element based on state_duration variables showing that the state of a printer 102 continues as a value changing according to a time is included in event data. Then, the event data are issued from the printer 102 to a DTV 101 by using the change of the value of the <PrinterStateDuration> element as a trigger. Therefore, the event data can be periodically issued according to a communication protocol such as a UPnP or the like, and a message can be continuously displayed even by a DTV101 for displaying a message (error) based on one time of reception of the event data (only) in a fixed period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
