<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction route with a wide path cross sectional area when a flexible sheath is inserted into a treatment instrument insertion channel of an endoscope without specially lowering the strength in the bend direction of the flexible sheath. <P>SOLUTION: The high frequency treatment instrument 1 is provided with the flexible sheath 2 where an electrode member 13 to which a high frequency current is to be applied can appear and disappear inside, and the flexible sheath 2 is inserted to the treatment instrument insertion channel 34 of the endoscope 30. The prescribed number of V-shaped grooves 8 whose cross section is a V shape are formed in an axial direction on the outer peripheral surface of the flexible sheath 2, and a projection part formed between the grooves is sharp at the distal end and is turned to a tip part 9 to be abutted to the inner peripheral surface of the treatment instrument insertion channel 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
