<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with an effective twisting movement irrelevant to the weight of the user. <P>SOLUTION: A turning type exercise apparatus is provided with a base part 4 mounted on an installation surface G, a turning board 2 held on the upper part of the base part 4 to normally/inversely turn, having the upper face declining rearward with respect to the installation surface G and allowing a user U to stand thereon, and a repetitive drive part 5 automatically normally/inversely turning the turning board 2 repeatedly within a predetermined angle range.
