摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of restricting the state of insufficient improvement in performance due to supercharging, depending on operating condition. <P>SOLUTION: In this internal combustion engine 10, one cycle of a heat engine is completed during one reciprocation of a piston 13 in a cylinder 11. The internal combustion engine 10 discharges exhaust gas inside of a combustion space 14 from a first exhaust port 20l and a second exhaust port 20h having a path cross sectional area larger than that of the first exhaust port 20l. A first exhaust valve 21 opens/closes an opening of the first exhaust port 20l to the combustion space 14, and a second exhaust valve 22 opens/closes an opening of the second exhaust port 20h to the combustion space 14. Exhaust gas Ex is supplied from the first exhaust port 20l to a first supercharger 31, and exhaust gas Ex is supplied form the second exhaust port 20h to a second supercharger 32.
