<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a policing device polices the bands of important packets and unimportant packets together but cannot control the band of those packets decided to be in compliance among the important and unimportant packets when those packets in some policing band are decided to be in compliance. <P>SOLUTION: A table 550 stores a policing band, packet history information by degree of importance and the distribution weight of the policing band by degree of importance. Upon inputting packets, a policing table control circuit 561 reads these information out into each storing means of a policing unit 141, and a decision circuit 511 decides whether input packets are in compliance or not based on these information. The policing device decides to be in compliance or not based on a distribution band obtained from the packet history information by degree of importance, the policing band and the distribution weight, and hence controls the band by each degree of importance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
