PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add an editing effect to only an original image area as an editing object even when repeatedly executing compression encoding by an optional encoding system.

SOLUTION: The image processor for editing and storing images includes: an editing effect addition means for adding the editing effect to the image; an invalid area determination means for determining the invalid area of the image to which the editing effect is added in the editing effect addition means; an invalid area image generation means for generating an invalid area image to be combined in the invalid area determined in the invalid area determination means; and a storing processing means for combining and storing the image to which the editing effect is added in the editing effect addition means and the invalid area image generated in the invalid area image generation means and storing invalid area information specifying the invalid area.
