PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine start by a kick pedal while a main stand is stored, in a kick start type motorcycle wherein a rear wheel is mounted to a continuously variable transmission or a vehicle body frame via a swing arm. SOLUTION: A contact part 133 extending in an opposite direction of the kick pedal 132 for an arm part 131 is provided for the kick pedal 51. When the rear wheel driven by the engine 31 is contacted with the ground while the main stand 37 is swung up from a stand state to support the vehicle, the contact part 133 of the kicked kick pedal 51 touches a part of the main stand 37.
