PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent troublesome lighting by stopping lighting in a lighting time of character information when confirmation of contents can not be done, and to continue lighting over a confirmation available time if the character information is once lighted. SOLUTION: Generation of a shift lock factor is established at an instantaneous time t2 when the shift lock factor is generated and is continued over a factor decision timeΔT1 set to be longer than minimum visual confirmation required time, and the character information showing a cause of the shift lock is lighted and displayed. If the character information is once lighted and displayed, the lighting is continued so that lighting timeΔT3 may exceed the minimum visual confirmation required time, even if the shift lock factor disappears and the establishment of the shift lock factor is finished at an instantaneous time t3. When the generation of the shift lock factor is not continued by the minimum visual confirmation required time (the factor decision timeΔT1) and the shift lock factor disappears before the instantaneous time t2, the character information is prevented from being lighted and displayed.
