PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite powder coating that improve manufacturing efficiency and suppressing defects caused by exposing the substrate or powder coated layers to high curing temperatures. SOLUTION: A method of forming a composite powder coatings 14, 16, 18 comprise depositing multiple layers of a powder coating composition onto a substrate 12, wherein adjacent layers are formed of a different powder coating composition; and curing the multiple layers of the powder coating composition in a single thermal curing step. The multiple layers can be used to protect power generation equipment from aqueous corrosion, particle erosion, slurry erosion, fretting, and fouling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
