<p>A MAC address distributing method in the passive optical network system is provided, which is used in the passive optical network, the method includes the following steps: receiving an applying-access packet transmitted by the user; transmitting the applying-access packet to the upper layer network device for authentication; after receiving that the authentication of the user is passed, applying a request to the upper layer network device for distributing MAC address to the user; receiving MAC address distributed to the user, which is transmitted by the upper layer network device. A remote device, office-side device optical line terminal and passive optical network system are also provided; through distributing MAC address for MDU in MDU upper layer network device, the number of MAC addresses is saved, and the efficiency for configuring the MAC addresses is enhanced remarkably.</p> |
