<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal separator needed for a solid polymer fuel cell (a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, PEFC) having both sufficient corrosive resistanCE and conductivity with a gas diffusion layer. <P>SOLUTION: A surface treatment is carried out with the use of a dispersion system with conductive particles having an average particle diameter by the BET method of less than 1,000 nm and a rubber system binder dispersed in a dispersion medium made of an organic solvent, a conductive coating layer containing the conductive particles and the rubber system binder is formed on a surface of a metal separator base material for the solid polymer fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
