<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium substrate 1 for fuel cell separator which can maintain a low contact resistance for a long period when used as a substrate of a fuel cell separator and, for example, even if the manufacturing lot or the like is different, there arise hardly variations in the effect that the low contact resistance can be maintained for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: This is a titanium substrate 1 for fuel cell separator used for manufacture of a separator used in a fuel cell, and the material is made of pure titanium or a titanium alloy, and on the surface layer 2 of the titanium substrate 1, the concentration of carbon having a bonding energy between 280-284 eV measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis is 25 atom% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
