<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell in which the whole of the fuel cell is made light weighted by downsizing a separator and a desired seal performance can be secured with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 10 is provided with a plurality of unit cells 12 and the unit cell 12 has an electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly 14 pinched by a first metal separator 16 and a second metal separator 18. The electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly 14 has a resin-made frame portion 26 at the outer periphery, and the frame portion 26 has fluid communication holes including an oxidizer gas entrance communication hole 28a formed in lamination direction. The outer periphery portions of the first metal separator 16 and the second metal separator 18 are arranged inside the fluid communication holes, thereby, the fluid communication holes are not necessary for the first metal separator 16 and the second metal separator 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
