PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blowout of waste developer from a developing device and maintain the performance of a filter without reducing the capacity of a collecting container. SOLUTION: The waste developer collecting device 100 comprises: a collecting container 110 which recovers waste developer discharged out of an image forming means; a collecting opening 120 for collecting the waste developer and air discharged out of the developing device; a conveying unit 130 which is disposed within the collecting container 110 to carry the waste developer taken through the collecting opening 120; a filter 140 passing the air collected in the collecting container 110; a partition wall 141 which partitions the filter 140 from a storage area for storing the waste developer within the collecting container 110; and an air inlet 150 for sucking air taken into the collecting container 110 and sending the air to the filter 140 along the partition wall 141, which is provided at an end on the carrying directional upstream side of the waste developer by the carrying means in the partition wall 141.
