PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recognition accuracy in a process for interpreting data input to a form-based data entry system.

SOLUTION: The method of interpreting data input to a form-based data entry system includes steps of receiving motion data from a movable input device, the motion data being associated with a particular field of an electronic form; deciding one or more variable parts of an information content in the motion data by applying at least one handwritten algorithm; and deciding a suitable variable part of the information content in the motion data by using at least one parameter associated with the particular field of the electronic form.
