PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device and system, which can simply make sound feature adjustments meeting the user's preference for each kind of sounds. SOLUTION: The DVD recorder (reproducing device) 1 accepts adjustment instructions from the user to change the sound features based on the sound data for every sound, and stores the adjustment instruction information showing the contents of the adjustment instructions by correlating it with the sound data. Further, the DVD recorder sends the adjustment instruction information stored by correlating with the sound data to the AV amplifier (control unit) 2 by correlating it with the sound data when reproducing the sound data. The AV amplifier 2 adjusts the sound data according to the contents of the adjustment instruction contained in the adjustment instruction information. Since the sound is output from the image receiver set 3 based on the adjusted sound data, the user can listen to the sound already adjusted to match the preference, without making manual adjustments each time to listen to it.
