PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for displaying the number of passengers in a vehicle, which provides visual information on a faulty vehicle and the number of passengers therein to the outside when the aerial tram using closed type vehicles stops in the middle of the cable and the passengers are rescued from the vehicle. SOLUTION: A touch sensor for each passenger is provided to the top of a backrest for a seat of the passenger in a closed type vehicle of an aerial tram. Lights for the maximum number of passengers are provided to the front and the rear of the vehicle in the traveling direction which can be turned on by operation of each touch sensor. When the vehicle makes an emergency stop in the middle of the wire and the passenger touches the touch sensor located at his or her seated position, a corresponding light is turned on.
