The insert (22) has a folded filter pack (24) circumferentially provided with a frame (30). Longitudinal-side and/or front side frame element parts (32, 34) with V-shaped cross section are formed with side pieces, where one of the pieces is formed as a V-lug. A sealing element strip is made of plastic foam material or compressible textile material, and is arranged on an outer side of the piece, where the outer side is turned away from the pack. The other piece is not overlapped by the former piece, where height of the former piece is smaller than height of the latter piece. The frame is made of thermoplastic fleece material.
