SSAFETY DEVICE FOR AN ELEVATOR

A safety system of an elevator door is provided to obtain safety by preventing cargo or people from falling in an elevator path caused as a cage door is pushed with the abnormal external force. A safety system of an elevator door comprises a base plate(3), a plurality of rotary protrusions(5), an operating member(7), a support(6) and two extension springs(8). The base plate is longitudinally installed by an inter-layer slab or a fixture connected to a cage in opening and closing directions of a door(16). A plurality of rotary protrusions are installed at the base plate at constant intervals. The operating member is installed to be symmetrized around the center portion of the door. The bottom part of a bracket is coupled on a door frame(18) and the bottom part of bracket is contacted with the end tip of the operating member. One side of the extension spring is coupled on the center of the base plate and the other side of the extension spring is coupled on the upper end of the rotary protrusion.
