<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which has variety of illumination patterns, and exhibits high stage effect. <P>SOLUTION: The LED lighting system includes an LED light source, a cover which includes the LED light source and of which an opening serves as a light extracting port, and a plurality of light guide plates which are stacked on a light emission side of the LED light source and include slits formed thereon.
