PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a proper control in a vehicle control apparatus for performing a vehicle control after recognizing a speed limit. SOLUTION: In a vehicle control apparatus comprising a plurality of speed limit recognizing means for recognizing the speed limit in a zone in which a vehicle is cruising, a braking and driving power outputting means for outputting a driving force and a braking force relating to cruise of the vehicle, and a controlling means for performing the vehicle control. The controlling means performs a control of the braking and driving power outputting means when recognition is coincident so that the vehicle runs by a speed lower than the coincided speed limit when the speed limit is recognized by two or more speed limit recognizing means among the plurality of the speed limit recognizing means and each speed limit recognized by the two or more speed limit recognizing means is coincident.
