<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable microcomputer operation monitoring circuit capable of surely applying a reset when a microcomputer runs away. <P>SOLUTION: The operation clock sources of first and second W/D timers 4 and 5 functioning as a monitoring timer which monitors whether or not a microcomputer 1 runs away are made different from each other. Concretely, an oscillation device 2 configured of an oscillator or an oscillation circuit is made to function as the clock resource of the first W/D timer 4, and a CR oscillation circuit 6 is made to function as the clock source of the second W/D timer 5. Thus, it is possible to allow the microcomputer operation monitoring circuit doubly have the monitoring function.
