摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an obliquely stretched optical film having less restrictions on stretching magnification, causing neither creases of film nor rupture at the end and formed to incline a molecule orientation axis uniformly to the longitudinal direction of the film, and a stretching apparatus for manufacturing the optical film. SOLUTION: An angleθa1 defined by a conveying direction and a straight line connecting a stretch start position P1 and a stretch stop position P2 of one grip means and an angleθb1 defined by the conveying direction and a straight line connecting a stretch start position S1 and a stretch stop position S2 of another grip means in an stretching region, and an angleθa2 defined by the conveying direction and a straight line connecting a relaxation start position P3 and a relaxation stop position P4 of one grip means and an angleθb2 defined by the conveying direction and a straight line connecting a relaxation start position S3 and a relaxation stop position S4 of another grip means in a relaxation region, satisfy four conditional expressions:θa1≥θb1,θa1≤16.0°,θb2>θa2 andθa2≤0.30°.
