PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration detecting apparatus capable of detecting the concentration of a target substance precisely and widely. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises: a magnetic sensor which is composed of a plurality of elements having sensitivities with respect to the strength of a magnetic field generated by a magnetic body, being set in association with previously determined plural different concentrations of the target substance, and changing their states in accordance with the strength of the magnetic field generated by the magnetic body, when the target substance is fixed along with the magnetic body, and if any of the plural elements changes in its state, outputs signals whose number is identical to that of the state-changed elements; and a concentration computing section which detects the signals and specifies the concentration based on the number of the detected signals.
