PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork capable of preventing any wasteful increase of the total cost while reducing the weight on a front wheel side of a two-wheeler, and realizing the desired damping effect. SOLUTION: A piston 22 at a lower end in a rod 2 vertically provided on a center part of a vehicle body side tube T2 is slidably stored in a seat pipe 1 vertically provided in a center part of a wheel side tube T1, and demarcates an extension side oil chamber R2 in the seat pipe 1. The extension side oil chamber R2 is demarcated between the wheel side tube T1 and the seat pipe 1 and is communicated with a flow passage L to be blocked from a reservoir R above the seat pipe 1. A bottom member B forming an axle bracket while closing a lower end opening of the wheel side tube T1 and a lower end opening of the seat pipe 1 has an extension side damping valve V in communication passages B1, B2 for communicating the flow passage L with the seat pipe 1. The extension side damping valve V allows a working fluid flowing into the flow passage L from the extension side oil chamber R2 to flow from the flow passage L into the seat pipe 1 when the rod 2 is elevated in the seat pipe 1.
