PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust recirculating device for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing freezing of condensed water while avoiding the unnecessary rise of recirculating exhaust temperature. SOLUTION: As a passage through which recirculated exhaust passes, two passages of a main passage 42 passing through an EGR cooler 41, and a bypass passage 43 bypassing the EGR cooler 41 are provided. A switching valve 44 selectively switching whether the exhaust is recirculated through either one of the main passage 42 or the bypass passage 43 is provided. By controlling of the switching valve 44 by an electronic control unit 46, the exhaust is recirculated through the bypass passage 43 when the temperature of an intake manifold 13 into which the recirculated exhaust is introduced is not more than the freezing temperature of the condensed water, and through the main passage 42 in other cases.
