PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator control device improved in safety of a passenger or giving the passenger a feeling of safety. SOLUTION: The escalator control device has an image processing device 107 processing images took by an image taking device 106 such as a camera. The image processing device 107 comprises: a nonstationary behavior determination part 111 detecting a nonstationary behavior of passenger, by processing the image; and an abnormal behavior classification part 112 classifying the behavior of the passenger, based on temporal change in detected nonstationary behavior.
