PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for detecting a wear volume of a picker rubber of a pickup roller susceptible to wear. SOLUTION: A wear detection device has wear detection holes 14a, 14b formed at a predetermined depth from an inner surface side of the picker rubber 10, a prism part 12, and a wear detection sensor 17. When the surface of the picker rubber 10 is worn and the wear detection holes 14a, 14b appear, as light irradiated from the wear detection sensor 17 passes through the wear detection hole 14a and is reflected on the prism part 12 and the reflected light passes through the wear detection hole 14b and is received by the wear detection sensor 17, the wear of the picker rubber 10 is detected.
