PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of a recording medium post-processing apparatus, in which recording-material bundles after different stitching processes are performed thereto are delivered on the same recording-material holding tray. SOLUTION: The recording medium post-processing apparatus comprises: a compile tray compiling a plurality of paper sheets carried therein from the outside as a bundle of paper; a saddle stitching staple function part 70 receiving the paper bundle from the compile tray therein, supporting it by booklet trays 81A, 81B, and stitching the supported paper bundle by staple heads 71A, 71B stapling the paper bundle; and a stacker tray disposed below the saddle stitching staple function part 70, and loading the paper bundle after the stitching in the saddle stitching staple function part 70 thereon in a vertical direction. In the saddle stitching staple function part 70, the booklet trays 81A, 81B and the staple heads 71A, 71B are moved outside end positions of the paper bundle when the paper bundle is not be stitched.
