PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Kort nozzle avoiding or reducing occurrence of recirculations or swirls even with an angular position with respect to a ship longitudinal axis, and having a globally uniform flow pattern. SOLUTION: A Kort nozzle, in particular, a Kort nozzle configured rotatable around the rudder axis of a ship, wherein at least one opening is provided in the wall of the Kort nozzle, so that the occurrence of recirculations and swirls are avoided or reduced even with the angular position with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ship and the globally uniform flow pattern is adjusted as far as possible.
