PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve various characteristics required for an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell. SOLUTION: The electrolyte membrane for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell contains a polymer base material constituted by olefinic polymer or fluoropolymer, a graft chain having a cation-exchange group and added to the polymer base material, and boron nitride or zirconium oxide dispersed in the polymer base material.
