PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent falling-off of an optical disk from an electronic device without losing take-out easiness and without enlargement during a period from the exposure of the optical disk from an insertion slot to complete an ejection operation to user's gripping of the optical disk in the electronic device capable of inserting a recording medium by a slot-in method. SOLUTION: This electronic device is provided with an insertion slot 4 for inserting a recording medium 7, a detection means for detecting the presence of recording medium insertion, a loading mechanism for loading the inserted recording medium, an operation button 5 for ejecting the recording medium by the loading mechanism, and a notch 6 formed on the opening side of the insertion slot to take out a disk. The device is further provided with a recording medium falling-off prevention member disposed inside the notch. The falling-off prevention member is also used as an operation button.
