PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical block reinforcing member capable of reducing the stress generated in an interlocking fixed portion of an optical block and a circuit substrate using the circuit substrate made of a rigid substrate. SOLUTION: An optical block 1 is provided on the circuit substrate 12 for connection with an optical connector. The optical block reinforcing member 16 mounted on the optical block 1 for reinforcing the optical block 1 includes an upper lid 16u for covering the optical block 1 and both sidewalls 16s for covering both side faces of the optical block 1 perpendicular to the optical connector in the width direction.
