PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily restrain a trunk hood in a half-opened state due to be loaded with large baggage inside. SOLUTION: A trunk hood opening/closing restraint device comprises a vehicle body side mounting part 60 to be mounted to a vehicle body side, a trunk hood side bracket 100 to be mounted to a trunk hood side, a belt 150 with its end part mounted to the bracket 100, and a belt mounting part 40 with the belt 150 inserted therein and capable of restraining/releasing the belt 150. The belt mounting part 40 restrains the belt 150 with two members 20a, 20b of a grip part 20 separated from each other. The restraint state of the belt 150 is released by operating the members 20a, 20b in the separated state to get closer to each other. The vehicle body side mounting part 60 is latched to a latched part on the trunk hood side by being pushed to the latched part and prevents itself from being unlatched from the latched part after latching.
