PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage mechanism of a fluid filter of a simple construction which can suppress the excessive tightening of a drain bolt made of a resin and damage attributed to the excessive tightening as often seen in using such a drain bolt. SOLUTION: This drainage mechanism 7 comprises (1) a cap 3 which is fitted to a case 2 and has a drain hole 15, and (2) a drain bolt 20 made of a resin which is screwed into the cap 3 by predetermined tightening torque through relative rotation and thereby, blocks the drain hole 15. In addition, the drain mechanism 7 is equipped with an excessive tightening checking construction 30 with a first restraining part (a projection part 31) arranged on the cap 3 and a second restraining part (a depression part 32) which is arranged on the drain bolt 20 and comes into contact with the first restraining part (the projection part 31) by he relative rotation of the cap 3 and the drain bolt 20. Besides, the first restraining part (the projection part 31) and the second restraining part (the depression part 32) are arranged so as to allow these parts to come into contact with each other by the screwing of the drain bolt 20 into the cap 3 by a prescribed tightening torque when the drain bolt 20 is relatively rotated to the cap 3 in a direction P1 in which the drain bolt 20 is tightened.
