Both high speed and high reliability in synchronization with a clock signal are balanced. A synchronization device for inputting an asynchronous signal and a clock signal and outputting a synchronous signal synchronized with the clock signal. The synchronization device comprises a storage means for allowing a storage control signal to store the asynchronous signal, a signal comparison means for comparing the value of the output signal with the value of the asynchronous signal which are outputted from the storage means to output the compared result signal indicating whether or not they are equal, and a storage control means for generating thestorage control signal correspondingly to a change to one side in the compared result signal and changing the timing at which the storage control signal is generated according to the signal level of the clock signal, and outputs a synchronous signal on the basis of the output signal of the storage means.
