<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of materials of diversified kinds, while reinforcing the pore combination within a scaffold, and to control pore density and pore arrangement positions, in the manufacture of a porous scaffold for tissue regeneration. <P>SOLUTION: Water-soluble magnetic porogen particles are used for generating the pores of a porous scaffold. After the accumulation of magnetic porogens by magnetic fields, polymers are filled up around these magnetic porogens. After solidifying the polymers, the assembly of these magnetic porogens are liquated to manufacture a porous scaffold. Unlike conventional porogen extraction method, this method can strengthen the combination of pores by magnetic fields and obtain a porous scaffold with a space gradient of the porosity degree and patterned pores by adjusting the magnetic field strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
