<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator which exhibits high decoration effects and directs unexpectedness. <P>SOLUTION: The illuminator including an LED light source and a transparent lens on which light of the LED light source is incident from its back side includes a reflection area enclosing a lens-front-side tip portion. The external shape of the reflection area is a convex surface shape which is rotationally symmetrical about the optical axis of the LED light source as an axis of rotation, and light which travels in the lens after being emitted by the LED light source to reach the reflection area is totally reflected by a lens interface to be converged on the optical axis nearby the lens-front-side tip portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
