PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information display device capable of displaying program information that is user-friendly to a viewer when displaying program information of other channels while the user views a program. SOLUTION: When displaying program information of the currently broadcasted programs in respective channels while the viewer views a program, a progress state of the currently broadcasted program is discriminated in each channel. About a program having little remaining part, a program information of not the currently broadcasted program but the next program scheduled to be broadcasted is selected as program information for display.
