PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device having improved display characteristics and a longer life while improving the reliability of electric power supply to an electron source by preventing the cutting of an upper electrode. SOLUTION: The image display device includes a plurality of layers of field insulating films 81, 83 consisting of anodic oxidation films and arranged on the surface of an image signal wire 8 adjacent to a tunnel insulating film.
