PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of continuously performing a series of bookbinding operations for performing bookbinding by cutting, conveying, sticking and the like of a paper binding tool 2. SOLUTION: An bookbinding apparatus 1 has a constitution equipped with a first conveying apparatus 30 for conveying a paper binding tool 2 in the longitudinal direction of a belt-like margin part 4, a cutting apparatus 50 for cutting the paper binding tool 2 conveyed by the first conveying apparatus 30 at the belt-like margin part 4 to prepare a paper binding tool piece 2a, a second conveying apparatus 70 for conveying the paper binding tool piece 2a prepared by the cutting apparatus 50 in the longitudinal direction of the belt-like margin part 4, an adhering apparatus 90 for sticking the tip part of a ring part 3 of the paper binding tool piece 2a conveyed by the second conveying apparatus 70 with the belt-like margin part 4, and a controlling apparatus 100 for controlling operations of the first conveying apparatus 30, the cutting apparatus 50, the second conveying apparatus 70 and the adhering apparatus 90.
