PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having three-dimensional gathers with excellent capability of following the human body, hardly causing collapse, displacement, or twisting of the three-dimensional gathers, and having high capability of preventing sideways leakage. SOLUTION: Each three-dimensional gather 10 has joint areas P in which an elastic stretch part 12 is joined to a body 5 at both front and rear ends in the longitudinal direction of the three-dimensional gather 10, and a non-joint area Q in which the elastic stretch part 12 is not jointed to the body 5 on the inside in the longitudinal direction between the front and rear ends of the three-dimensional gather 10. Corner fixing parts 30 fixed to the inner side of underwear are disposed on the non-skin contact side of four corner parts 5CL, 5CR, 5BL and 5BR of the body 5 respectively, located outside in the longitudinal direction of the body 5 from the boundary between the joint area P and the non-joint area Q, and outside in the width direction of the body 5 from the inner edge 12b along the longitudinal direction of the elastic stretch part 12 in the non-joint area Q.
